Our Elders PDF Print E-mail
March 7, 2008

When you look into our elders' eyes,
you can tell that they are wise.
When you hold their hand,
it's obvious they lived off the land.
Under the wrinkle,
their eyes they twinkle.
They like to laugh,
and eat caribou calf.
They have tons of knowledge,
not learned from college.
Our elders deserve the best,
because they passed their test.
When they graduate to old,
they're worth more than gold.
They broke our trail,
so that we won't fail.
Let's not cause them any grief,
their time with us is brief.
Someday we'll take their place,
so their wisdom let's not waste.
Elders are the foundation,
for our Gwitchin Nation.
